Dine Development Corporation (DDC), is a wholly-owned entity of the Navajo Nation, established in 2004 to provide economic benefits to the Navajo Nation. BRIC is a subsidiary of the Dine Development Corporation. DDC-BRIC is a SBA 8(a) SDB certified professional science and technical services firm with an exceptional team of seasoned scientists, engineers and technicians. The suite of services we offer spans all aspects of natural resource stewardship and EHS compliance including: natural resource management, cultural resource management, NEPA/CEQA compliance and environmental planning.


BRIC is seeking candidates for a Plant Propagation Manager. The successful candidate will support plant propagation activities on Joint Base Lewis McChord. The successful candidate will work directly with the Installation Government Representative (GR) and CALIBRE PM.


Skills Required: 
The ideal candidate should have:

  • 2 years of professional work experience, to include a minimum of one year in a leadership role and a minimum one year working on a Military installation.
  • 2 years’ experience with plant propagation programs and methodology as applied to the Pacific North West and particular biology there.
  • Experience procuring seed for plant propagation program support.
  • Clear understanding and skills to grow native plant plugs in both a greenhouse and outdoor setting.
  • Ability to present findings and information gathered to a technically capable audience illustrating best management practices.
  • Experience maintaining inventory of all cultivation supplies and the procurement of supplies.
  • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to the geographical vicinity of Puget Sound.
  • Experience with irrigation, pruning, potting/ repotting, and propagation of plants.
  • Demonstrated experienced in wild seed collection and documentation, plant propagation techniques, greenhouse duties, and plug planting.
  • Experience with GPS data collection and field mapping procedures.
  • Knowledge of Trimble mapping grade GPS hardware and software.
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently and efficiently follow standard work-flows and instructions.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to maneuver on foot over rough terrain carrying up to 40 lbs.

Competencies Required: 

  • Familiarity with the US Army Sustainable Range Program
  • Experience with GPS data collection and field mapping procedures.
  • Knowledge of Trimble mapping grade GPS hardware and software.

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Three years demonstrated work experience.
