Duties & responsibilities:

Systems Engineering Support In support of the Engineering and Architecture Division the contractor shall provide detailed technical analysis, engineering designs, architectural designs and solutions in support of requirements from new customer proposals, or other proposals. The contractor will support technical solutions under systems architecture to include UNIX, Windows, Sun, HP systems designs and proposals. The contractor shall provide technical writer support in the production of draft revisions of documents and their appendices. The contractor shall produce and distribute the approved copy of the plan, its appendices, and associated modeling data. The contractor shall support hardware, software and network engineering modernization, standardization and automation activities.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
o Support centralized optimization plan activities
o Participate in engineering “Tiger” teams to determine/recommend solutions for optimization
o Perform Technical Solution analysis
o Create Technical White papers
o Support Technical Discussion/Meetings
o Research necessary to support development for Bill of Materials (BOMs)
o System designs to include but not limited to Windows, UNIX, Sun and HP
o Written proposals and system designs in support of customer requirements
o Support future studies and research on new technologies and/or initiative
o Support Data Center concept optimization plan activities
o Perform Technical Solution analysis
o Design execution plans for Next Generation Computing Centers
o System designs to include but not limited to Windows, UNIX, Sun and HP
o Support future studies and research on new technologies and/or initiatives
o Participate in site survey teams to assist in gathering and refining information on hardware, software and communications equipment
o Perform Technical Solution analysis based on information gathered on site surveys and through customer interaction
o Create Technical White papers as required to support survey analysis
o Support Technical Discussion/Meetings
o Perform any research necessary to develop Installation Bill of Materials (IBOMs) and Bill of Materials (BOMs)


Skills Required:

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or five years of experience in lieu of a college degree.
