Cultural Resources Management

The BRIC provides several qualified, permitted archaeological specialists engaged on a project-specific basis utilizing only the most knowledgeable talent for each undertaking to provide the highest quality deliverables. Every specialist is highly motivated and capable of performing tasks from survey, analysis, evaluations, and technical reporting consistent with professional requirements and guidelines. BRIC cultural resource staff currently holds annual antiquities permits for survey, excavation, monitoring, testing, and unmarked burials in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah state lands. We maintain a permit to conduct non-collections survey on all lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Indian Affairs SW regions of NM, CO, TX, and UT. Additionally, BRIC cultural staff are permitted to conduct survey, testing and data recovery on federal (BLM and USFS) lands in New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and the Great Plains regions. Cultural Resources and NEPA Support for Bureau of Indian Affairs Southwest Region

BRIC archaeological staff provide on-going support and Section 106 compliance guidance to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Navajo Region for the BIA facilities at Fort Wingate, New Mexico. This includes survey and inventory, site documentation, construction monitoring, historic structures documentation, development of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), and measures to mitigate adverse effects on historic properties.

Cultural Heritage Study of the Quapaw Strip
BRIC cultural resources staff conducted research, interviewed Quapaw tribal members and staff and prepared a report for a cultural heritage study as part of an EPA remediation of Superfund mine sites on the reservation in Kansas and Oklahoma.

U.S. Army TSS Enterprise Mission Support. Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program Support
BRIC provides management support and field services for the Army’s Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) program, at Joint Base Lewis McCord, under a subcontract agreement with Booz Allan Hamilton (BAH).  Our staff maintains Army training lands to ensure quality training and realism, reduce environmental damage, and enhance the public image of the U.S. Army as a conscientious land steward. We supported the Army’s integration of military mission, natural resource stewardship, and environmental compliance. Specifically, we deliver management support and field services for the Range and Training Lands Assessment (RTLA), Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance (LRAM), Sustainable Range Program (SRP), and Geographic Information System (GIS) components of the ITAM program

Environmental Services for the Navajo Gallup Water Supply Project- Bureau of Reclamation

Under this five-year task-order based contract, BRIC provides environmental services for western Colorado and the Navajo Gallup Water Supply Project which is one of the top 15 priorities of the Department of Interior. The Bureau of Reclamation is the lead agency for the design and construction of several hundred miles of pipeline, water treatment plants, pumping plants, electrical transmission lines and other facilities. The project is located on the Navajo Nation, Bureau of Land Management, Jicarilla Apache, State of New Mexico, and private lands. BRIC provided environmental services including biological monitoring, biological surveys, biological assessments, Clean Water Act permits, environmental assessments, agency and tribal meeting, mitigation plans and implementation, and related services.

U.S. Army Department of Public Works (DW) CADD Systems and Facility Management Support
BRIC provides facilities, infrastructure, and engineering record keeping support to Fort Devens Department of Public Works (DPW). Under this prime contract, we support the DPW by supplying the   following services: research, investigate, and organize the electronic and paper drawing records; create CADD drawings of buildings, infrastructure, and facilities from hard copy drawings that maintain the Government record drawing database; perform field verification of site conditions; organize and file drawings and engineering records; and reproduce drawings and records. Our on-site personnel operate as energy conservation coordinators by overseeing and coordinating building energy monitor (BEM) services for all buildings that the DPW requests for maintenance and repair. We provide facility management by visiting base facilities, buildings, pavements, grounds, and activities to evaluate the facility condition and verify record information. We also escort work crews, contractors, external evaluators, inspectors, and other external visitors on the base.

DISA DEAMS and Super Cluster Security and System Administration Support
BRIC delivers professional technology support services to DISA under the DEAMS Mission Partner program, through a subcontract with our sister company, DDC IT Services. We provide system administration by performing Solaris technical support for Solaris server systems. We also provide technical support to the DEAMS mission partner and assist with system administration. Our four on-site staff manage and maintain the most current version and two legacy versions of the Solaris OS on physical and virtual operating environments.  We also   supply technical oversight and consultation, in addition to installing, configuring, maintaining, managing, and troubleshooting Solaris OS and associated components.
